"I'm not the anchor you're looking for," He said to me. He drew closer, and he looked me in the eye, and smiled. Everything seemed to flash at that instance, and then progressively fade to black. I heard the echoes of his words and the world around me stop as my senses failed. He said one last thing to me. "Is this really necessary?" The room went cold, and I shivered in the dark. I took in a deep breath, and answered. "No..."
My eyes stared at the ceiling as I replayed the scene from the dream I just had. That snippet over and over in my head. Was it something significant? Or just runoff from last nights adventure? I tried not to think about it too much. Though I did notice something strange, my leg didn't seem to hurt. I threw off the blankets. I was shocked.
My skin was covered in scales. A long draconic tail extended from my back. I had sharp claws on my feet and hands. I could hardly process all this information. I couldn't even form any sort of words or movement before I was cut off.
"Is this really necessary?" He asked me. He smiled at me from the other side of the room. His eyes told me that he was amused.
I instinctively answered, "No..." Just like in my dream. He smiled and snickered.
"I'm not the anchor you're looking for."
"Then what is?" I pleaded. At this point, I wasn't even conscious of what I was saying.
"Maybe he is," He responded, looking over at the other side of the room. I followed his lead, and saw my Spanish class before me. I looked back but only saw the wall and an empty chair. I shook my head to break these illusions.
snap
His pen hit the ground. We both subconsciously stared down at it. For a spilt second I looked at him, then his wheelchair, and back down. I leaned over to pick it up for him.
"Thanks..." He said quietly, as I handed the pen back.
"No problem. You're Stephan, right?" I asked him.
"It's Steven, but close enough, I guess." He chuckled.
"My apologies." I said. I paused for a few moments, recalling the memories in my head.
"Say, have you ever had a lucid daydream?"

The Experiment - Chapter 3
Chapter Three
I regained consciousness to the sounds of bleeping, I was rigged up to all sorts of machines designed to monitor me as I lay there feeling hardly anything at all, taking in the situation. I couldn't feel anything below my hip. I could hardly move, only my arms seemed to respond to what I wanted. I started to panic and called out.
"Help! Somebody?"
I was in my own hospital room, confused as to what was happening, and to what had happened as well. I didn't remember much from after I had left the GP. The door opened and in walked Doctor Sandison. He closed the door behind him and turned around to find me awake.
"Ah Sean. Glad t

"DOCTOR!?"
The monitors continue to bleep away like crazy, as Dr Sandison immediately starts to perform CPR
"Get the defibrillator ready Kerian" as the Doctor grabs the oxygen mask and puts it over Sean's face
Keiran rushes over to the cart, fumbling with it as he's no nurse but knowing enough to start preparing the paddles with gel and start charging the machine, Dr Sandison stares intently at the warnings flashing on the monitors as the readings start to stabilise
"Stand down Kerian I think he'll be fine for now. I want you to take blood samples, and ultrasounds of his internals every 2hrs and monitor him at all times."

Chapter 2
I looked at Dr. Sandison thinking he was probably crazy, but I played along, replaying.
"You've lost me."
The doctor stated at me for a few seconds.
"Answer me honestly please. Would you...If offered...Give up your life as a human?"
"Honestly?" I said, the doctor nodded. I thought about for a minute, If it were possible yeah I guess I would. Sure I'd miss my family, but if it meant a simpler life; No need to worry about money, getting a job, paying bills... then sure, I'd gladly trade it all in for something better hopefully. I looked Dr. Sandison straight in the eye and replied "Yeah I guess I would."
Dr. Sandison looked bac
